Is my wireless network secure?
Wireless Networks are all the rage at the moment. But what people don't know, is that Wireless Network Encryption is far from secure.
A few years ago, broadband providers distributed their wireless router's to home user's with user friendiness in mind. Unfortunately, user friendly & IT rarely combine to form a secure environment.
These old router's were setup either without Wireless Encryption or with a very weak Encryption, making it relatively easy for a competant hacker to breach these networks.
NOTE ! - Don't assume that because your router has encryption that it can't be hacked. In a controlled environment, Bee Systems Technician's managed to break into an Open Key 128-bit WEP Encrypted network in 4 minutes !!
